The hiking trails around Schenna are vast, 224km plus a further 300km well signed ones in the area of Meran 2000/Hafling. These hiking areas and trails run in different altitudes meaning you can choose the difficulty of your hike or walk. There are 5 cable cars and 2 chairlifts assisting you to get to your perfect altitude. The full range allows you to experience hikes from easy, comfortable walks with your family and children, to day trips leading to different cabins (Alm) and chalets but also tours along high located trails and to the very summit.

Why not get to know one of our main attractions in this region, and visit whilst on a mountain tour an Alm (cabin) with their hosts. During the Jausen (snack) you get spoiled not only by a breathtaking view but also by those hosts and sometimes traditional regional music.

Spring in Schenna:

During spring pleasant 20 degrees in the valley allow one to sit outside and enjoy taking in the flowery scents: may it be the almond blossom in March, the tulips in March and April or the apple blossom from mid to end of April.

Summer in Schenna:

If the sun warms up the highest mountain peaks and the alpine roses bloom, its the best time to discover the variety of Schenna. Hiking in an enchanting landscape, as far as your feet will carry you: From comfortable watercourses (which are called "Waalwege") between green grass, fields, over sapgreen alps, through silent woods up to the rock regions of the high mountains. crazy golf, mountain biking, para gliding, nordic walking or beeing lazy at the pool of the panorama outdoor swimming pool in Schenna. Additionnally here are a lot of summer concerts, shopping in the evening and more.

Autumn in Schenna:

Everything appears golden, nature provides us with fresh fruits such as apples, pears, nuts and grapes. The scent of freshly made wine and roasted chestnuts invites everybody to go Törggelen. Having been to the apple harvest in South Tyrol once you will not ever forget the smell of apples in the air.

Winter in Schenna:
Skiing fun and hiking in winter

Schenna shows its quiet, contemplative side in winter. Only 7 minutes (by car) away from our apartment the Ifinger cablecar will bring you into the skiing region Meran 2000: With 7 lifts, 40 km runs, 18 km cross country ski run, 25 km hiking trails, one toboggan run and the alpine bob are waiting for you. This family friendly and very sunny skiing area offers a professional ski school and ski rental as well as a winter play school with a lift for babies. (plan of the runs)
